This is Part One of an ongoing study group in which Professor Alexis Sanderson will read, translate, and explain the masterwork of the Tantrāloka, Abhinavagupta’s monumental presentation of the doctrines and practices of the Śākta Śaiva Tantric system known as the Trika.

Abhinavagupta draws in this masterpiece on a vast range of Śaiva sources to forge a unique Krama-oriented Śākta perspective on Śaivism as a whole and on its place in the world of Hindu practice and belief.

This series is a unique opportunity to study with an internationally respected scholar and expert in his field. 

Part One of this series consists of 8 weeks of lectures. Participation in this lecture series is by application.  Once your application is approved, you will be directed to register. This course will be supported by an eClassroom which registered students will be able to access.
