Drukmo Gyal will introduce the theory behind Tibetan Mantra healing and discuss the connection between mantra and the five elements of Earth, Wind, Fire, Water, and Space. She will then chant with us the ‘Purification of the Five Elements’ mantra.
Mantra healing is an extraordinary and beautiful form of holistic therapy and healing. The songs sung by Drukmo Gyal, are based on mantra healing methods used in Traditional Tibetan Medicine. They are also part of the Yuthok Nyingthig spiritual path of Traditional Tibetan Medicine.
Drukmo Gyal was born in the Northeastern part of Tibet into a family of yogis where mantra, yoga and meditation were introduced at an early age. With support from the local Tibetan yogic community, she began practicing mantras with ancient melodies and started singing publicly in 2008. She moved to Europe in 2014, produced her first album ‘Purification Voice of Tibet’ and began touring in European countries, Russia, Malaysia, and China with local musicians. Her second album ‘Tibetan Mantra Healing’ was released in 2016 and highlights the ancient healing system of Sowa Rigpa, Traditional Tibetan medicine as it was taught to her by Dr Nida Chenagtsang, a direct lineage holder and founder of Sorig Khang International. Drukmo Gyal travels the world, singing, teaching Tibetan Mantra Healing and Kunye Healing massage, and guiding retreats in the Yuthok Nyingthig tradition, the meditation practice of Tibetan physicians.
She returns to The Movement Center Friday, March 24th for a very special concert. For information about her complete schedule, please visit www.sorigkhangportland.org
