This 6-DVD set is comprised of the recorded talks given by Swami Chetanananda during his 2015 pilgrimage to Ganeshpuri, Maharastra, India.  In these talks, he gives to a group of devotees a context to understand India and the atmosphere around Nityananda’s samadhi shrine.

Disc 1: Bhagavan Nityananda.  Nityananda is the foundation guru in Swamiji’s lineage. Swamiji provides more stories about Nityananda’s amazing life. (57:57)

Disc 2: Authenticity.  Swamiji provides guidance on how an American practitioner might distinguish the authentic elements of Indian spiritual practice from the cultural and commercial aspects.   (42:55)

Disc 3: Possession. What is the historical context of possession and what is its role in Indian culture and spirituality?  (56:36)

Disc 4: Pervasion. Swamiji addresses the question of what is pervasion in the context of spiritual practice.  (50:59)

Disc 5: Spirits. Swamiji describes the cultural background of Indian spiritual practice and experiences with spirits that happened around Nityananda. (26:35)

Disc 6: Pujas and Havans.  Swamiji tells us that about the origins of puja and the opportunities available when participating in havans (fire ceremonies). (44:45)

Author, Swami Chetanananda
