SWAMI CHETANANANDA | UPCOMING PROGRAMS

SUMMER 2011

The next meditation retreat with Swami Chetanananda will be held July 20 through 24 in Portland. These five day retreats are an opportunity to spend time focused on examining our inner state, reaffirming our intention to grow, and practicing more intensely. Although each retreat is unique, the general outline of the schedule is:

Morning meditation
Hatha yoga
Morning talk by Swami Chetanananda
Afternoon seva
Hatha yoga
Chöd
Evening open eye class with Swami Chetanananda

The focus of the summer retreat will be Rudi's Complete Teaching. Swamiji's talks will explain Rudi's tantric practice, including the scriptural and philosophical underpinnings of eyes open class from the Tibetan and Indian perspectives. It will make special reference to the teachings of Bhagavan Nityananda, the teachings of the Kaula tradition, and the Dzogchen teachings of Longchenpa.

Swamiji will be in Seal Beach, California, the weekend of May 21 and 22, 2011. More details about that program are here.
